Barrow Statement on D.C. Gun Bill PDF Print

Washington, DC - Congress voted to (not to) pass the National Capital Security and Safety Act (H.R. 6842) by a vote of 266-152.  Following the vote, Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) released this statement:

"The right to bear arms belongs to every citizen of the United States," said Barrow.  "It doesn't, and shouldn't, disappear when you cross into our nation's capital.  I voted against this bill because it would place unnecessary restrictions on a constitutional right, and that's something I can't abide by."
