Help for Georgia's Small Businesses PDF Print

Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 5297, the Small Business Lending Fund Act of 2010.  This bill, which I supported, will help expand lending to small businesses and offers tax incentives to help them grow, which in turn will help create new jobs across Georgia.

In his Letter From A Birmingham Jail, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., wrote, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”  It was in this spirit that a bipartisan delegation of members of Congress from all parts of the country and all walks of life traveled last weekend to Alabama for the 10th Annual Congressional Civil Rights Pilgrimage – led by my friend and colleague, civil rights legend Congressman John Lewis.
